Reflecting on the Past/Dreaming the Future

Inaugural Hampden Gallery Triennial
juried by Nick Capasso
September 12 – December 3
Opening reception and panel discussion: Friday, September 12, 5-7 p.m.

My Light Beings are a part of the inaugural Hampden Gallery Triennial.
I'll be speaking on a panel at the opening reception.
I'd love to see you there!

Light Being is my current body of drawings that depict abstracted figures emanating light.  These works are both luminous and liminal with calligraphic lines reminiscent of ancient art of brushwork.  They offer a glimpse into a spiritual essence that simultaneously connects to the distant past and projects into the future.  In times of upheaval, the idea of existing as beings that emanate light and energy beyond our physical selves brings me a profound sense of expansiveness and comfort.

Upcoming Event

Light Being February 2026

Light Being is a collaborative installation by Elizabeth Stone, Roslyn Driscoll, and Tori Lawrence exploring the interaction of immaterial light with the material world. The exhibition will take visitors on a narrative journey that changes over the course of the month-long run, reflecting seasonal change and inviting return visits.

My dress sculptures will be at DISGUISE
a free weekend of performance, workshops, sculpture, and shoes

This weekend 5/30 - 6/1 at 33 Hawley Street, Northampton

My art begins with the human body, explores the disembodied figure, and ultimately contemplates its abstracted spiritual essence.  For the past 30 years I have been drawing, painting and sculpting.  The subject of my work is the human portrait and figure.  This trio of dresses represents three centuries of women’s fashion and harks back to my days as the owner of a contemporary fashion boutique opened in 1977 in Thornes Market called Chona.
